Greenways visual layout · documentation system · v1
Documentation with a material memory.
v1 is the dependable Greenways documentation shell: clear navigation, generous reading space, technical metadata, and a restrained project accent over paper, stone, and grid.
One family relationship · three roles
Serif for orientation. Sans for work.
The v1 hierarchy shares its font relationship with v2 while preserving its own scale: Marcellus leads, Manrope carries the interface, and IBM Plex Mono marks technical precision.
Surface before signal
Material holds the page together.
The v1 system starts with a readable neutral canvas. Verdigris signals the active path, gold marks provenance and emphasis, and danger remains semantic rather than decorative.
Documentation shell
A stable frame for changing knowledge.
Every page has a known place for navigation, content, and local orientation. The shell adapts at narrow widths without hiding the route hierarchy.
Route before decoration
Readers should always know where they are before they interpret the atmosphere.
Prose before chrome
Navigation supports the document; it never competes with the explanation.
Project accents are bounded
A project can own its signal colour without replacing the shared material grammar.
Component language
Small surfaces, explicit purpose.
Find the route
Search and project switching remain visible, keyboard reachable, and separate from the content frame.
Show the boundary
Technical surfaces use the mono role, dark executable panels, and clear input/output separation.
Make the next step obvious
Primary actions use the accent sparingly; secondary links remain readable in both themes.
State grammar
Every message earns its emphasis.
Nothing requires action.
The next path is available.
